Pågående forskning
Research has been carried out among Katuic groups in Central Vietnam since 2003 with a focus on cultural traditions, social organisation and societal change. The project has been sponsored by Sida/SAREC and implemented in cooperation with the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. A second phase of the project, centred on generalised exchange as a total social phenomenon, is planned for the coming years, incorporating also Katuic groups in Laos in cooperation with Laos Institute of Cultural Research.
Research in Latin America is also continuing, focussing on various topics related to Amazonian anthropology – particularly Northwest Amazonia (Colombia).
