News: Feb 04, 2011
The Swedish Network of Peace, Conflict and Development Research (PCDRNET) invites you to participate in its biannual conference. With the fifth major conference in seven years, and a record of three edited volumes with international publishers, the network will now take the opportunity to illuminate a broad spectre of ongoing research within the field. We have selected four of the most dynamic sub-fields, which have a historical peace research connection as well as a potential for being future cornerstones of peace, conflict and development research. Four parallel workshops will be run, each opened by an international authority in the sub-field.
Each workshop will include keynote speakers, paper presentations and roundtable discussions on publications, bridge-building and future research. The aim is to create fruitful incubators for new ideas, potential cooperation and strengthen networking within each distinctive field, linking junior participants with established researchers. Policy-makers are warmly invited to participate in order to build important bridges between research and policy.
The conference will begin and close with common sessions for all participants to facilitate cross-boundary insights.
Abstracts of your paper should be ½-1 page and include: name of the workshop the presentation is meant for, title of presentation, name and affiliation of presenter and a short summary of your paper.
Deadline for abstracts: 31 March 2011
Deadline for papers: 26 april 2011
The conference, including hotel and meals, is free of charge.
