School of Global Studies recently received research grants for the following projects.
Kaj Århem, professor at School of Global Studies: Indigenous peoples and poverty: The challenge of cultural difference, 3 million SEK.
Anders Burman at School of Global Studies: Aymara perspectives on poverty, development and well-being, 2 million SEK.
Mattias Larsen: Vulnerable daughters in times of change: A new approach to the problem of missing girls in India, 1,2 million SEK.
Camilla Orjuela: Corruption and conflict: links and local experiences in post-war Sri Lanka, 2,8 million SEK.
Camilla Orjuela and Maj-Lis Follér also participates in: Governing AIDS through aid to civil society: Global solutions meet local problems in sub-Saharan Africa, lead by Håkan Thörn, professor at Faculty of Social Sciences, who received 5,1 million SEK.
Johan Wedel: Gränsöverskridande medicin: Ohälsa och bot bland exilsomalier, 1,2 million SEK.
Professor Kaj Århem: Antropologisk fältstudie om Fattigdom, utveckling och minoritetspolitik i Vietnams högländer, 2, 185 million SEK.
