Rural development, land related issues and public health connected to culture and environment.
Current research
Madeleine has just started a dissertation work about land use.
In earlier research work Madeleine has worked in a research program Welfare Quality, which is financed by EU and which integrate the animal welfare in the food chain. There are 39 universities and institutions from 13 European countries involved in the project. At the Department of Human Ecology we have been working with animal welfare from producer perspectives (pig, cattle and poultry producers).
Teaching and tutoring
Madeleine has experience of teaching on undergraduate levels about rural development, public health and cultural related questions and has supervised at field course on undergraduate levels in India.
