Areas of interest

Political and cultural co-operation between the Islamic states from a global point of view, especially within the OIC and The Arab League. Saudi Arabia's role in these two organisations is of major importance for Janson's research due to the fact that Saudi Arabia is the Holy Land of Islam.

Secondary research field: The conflict dynamics in the Gulf. Particularly the inter-state relation between Iran and Saudi Arabia and the member states of the GCC.
